We are Shawn and Kendra Wallace, Big Dreamers and Coffee Shop Connoisseurs! Our family of 7 loves to travel and adventure, but we also LOVE LOCAL. We also LOVE coffee.
Whether you are grabbing a quick beverage or popping in to find just the right gift, our family looks forward to meeting you at The Springs!
OUR BACKSTORY!
In the summer of 2021, we sold our suburban home and decided to live in a travel trailer (trendy we know) while we hoped and prayed to find a few acres to call our own. One morning as we drove to our storage unit, a new property popped up on realtor.com. Shawn and I left the storage unit and drove directly to a house and 6 acres in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Our country life dreams became a reality much faster than we expected! One week before school started, August of 2021, we parked our travel trailer in our “front yard” and began renovations. Three of our 5 children were still at home and they each started a new school. We quickly met wonderful people and families and began falling in love with our new little town. Fast forward to January of 2022, we moved into our (almost finished) home and sold our trailer!
A few months later, some friends reached out to us about a building they had for sale. We told them, “we just moved here and we don’t need a building” and again, “no thanks.” We just didn’t see any reason to buy a building. Until one day, we were motivated by a turn of events to just go take a look. We pulled up to the building and greeted our friend. As we walked in, we immediately saw the vision of coffee and shopping and locals hanging out. So with faith, precious family and dear friends who believed in our dreams, we bought the old building on Memorial Day weekend of 2022.
